The flagship weapon of the Araxys collection, VALORANT's alien themed Exclusive Edition skin line designed for "the conquerors and destroyers of stars." Producer II Victoria Kim described the design philosophy: "We took inspiration from the idea of inorganic things being alive, of bodies made of metal and mineral, but breathed." The collection delivers weapons from a mysterious and hostile alien race, blending organic and mechanical elements into a sleek, futuristic aesthetic with brown fins on the default variant. The Vandal features sophisticated inspect animations where the alien technology appears to shift and breathe on the weapon model. The bundle's finisher was a major development story in itself. During production, the beam finisher originally pulled killed players upward, but this mechanic was ultimately cut due to its negative effects on gameplay and competitive integrity. The inspiration for the final finisher came from the developers seeing multiple beams being used in the collection's trailer, which they then refined into the released version. The Araxys bundle includes the Vandal, Operator, Shorty, Bulldog, and Bio Harvester melee, which resembles the energy swords from the Halo franchise. Features 3 color variants (purple, black, silver) beyond the default brown, each corresponding to a matching variant kill banner. The EP 6 Gun Buddy changes color to match your equipped Araxys variant when attached to an Araxys skin. The collection launched alongside Episode 6's new map Lotus and was popular enough to warrant Araxys 2.0 in December 2024, which added the Phantom, Ghost, Marshal, Judge, and a new melee while continuing the organic alien technology theme with reactive animations and effects. Can appear in daily store rotation and Night Market.
