Jett Kunai

Not a purchasable skin. Blade Storm is Jett's ultimate ability, available since VALORANT's launch on June 2, 2020. On activation, Jett equips 5 hitscan throwing kunai. Left click throws a single knife with 100% accuracy at all times, whether running, jumping, or gliding, and fully refreshes all 5 knives on kill. Right click throws all remaining knives in a burst spread but does not refresh on kill. Deals 150 damage on headshot, 50 body, 42 legs on single fire. Burst fire has a damage falloff starting at 12 meters. Two kunai are permanently visible on Jett's character model along her right hip belt as part of her base design. The ability synergizes with her full kit: Updraft launches her into aerial angles while maintaining perfect knife accuracy, Tailwind lets her reposition between kills while staying armed, and Glide extends airtime for mobile precision plays. Originally cost 6 ultimate points, later increased to 7, and currently costs 8. The kunai have gone through multiple balance passes including a headshot multiplier reduction on burst fire from 3x to 2x and added damage falloff on right click. In lore, Jett (Han Sunwoo) is a radiant from Seoul, South Korea whose wind manipulation powers complement the precision of her blades. She was originally a chef at a family restaurant before being hunted by her Omega Earth counterpart, an event that destroyed the restaurant and changed her life. She was later recruited into the VALORANT Protocol. The Blade Storm kunai became one of the most iconic ability visuals in the game and directly inspired the Champions 2023 Kunai melee skin, which mimics its aesthetic. Jett mains commonly use Blade Storm as an eco round weapon to save credits while still having lethal firepower, making the kunai as much a strategic tool as a signature visual.
