Part of the original Prime collection released on VALORANT's launch day, alongside the Vandal, Spectre, Guardian, and Axe. The Prime Classic carries the same white and gold geometric design with purple accents that defined the entire line, with the heavy gold plating hinting at royalty or ancient Rome. The Prime collection was one of the first two Premium Edition bundles in VALORANT (alongside Sovereign) and set the benchmark for what skins could be by introducing custom VFX, sound effects, and a finisher animation for the first time. The design took inspiration from sports cars, emphasizing sleek, futuristic lines and clean geometry. The Prime Classic benefits from being the default sidearm that every player starts with in pistol rounds, giving it maximum visibility in every single match. The crisp, satisfying firing audio that made the Prime Vandal legendary carries over to the Classic, giving players the same "placebo aim boost" feel that led to the community meme "Prime makes you aim better." The finisher levitates the enemy before dissolving them into golden geometric particles, one of the most instantly recognizable death animations in the game. Features 3 color variants (blue, green, orange) alongside the default white and gold. Before patch v8.07, the Prime Classic had a bug where its firing SFX would break if the skin was upgraded, alongside several other skins including Glitchpop, Elderflame Operator, and Ion Sheriff. This was later fixed. Part of the Prime 1.0 bundle that covered the essential loadout weapons. Between Prime 1.0 and Prime//2.0 (March 2021), the line eventually covered nearly every weapon class in the game, making Prime one of the most comprehensive and versatile skin families in VALORANT. Can appear in daily store rotation and Night Market.
