The original Prime bundle was one of the most requested skin lines to receive a Phantom variant, and its absence from the first set was a constant point of community feedback. Prime//2.0 was described as the "2021 evolution of the original Prime set that players love," featuring brand new models and upgraded features such as exhaust ports for additional firing effects. Where the original Prime collection took design inspiration from sports cars, the 2.0 set looked to hypercars, pushing the sleek, futuristic aesthetic further. The Phantom carries the same white, gold, and blue geometric design language with black grips that defined the Prime line, and shares the iconic crisp firing audio that made the Prime Vandal famous. The "Prime makes you aim better" community meme extends fully to the Phantom, with players regularly citing it as one of the best feeling Phantom skins in the game due to its clean audio feedback and minimal visual distraction. The Prime//2.0 finisher features a bull that throws its target into the air before they explode into golden particles, a departure from the original Prime's geometric dissolve. The bundle also introduced the first Prime Karambit, which became one of the most popular melee skins in the game and debuted the karambit archetype's iconic spinning equip animation at level 1 (a feature that later sparked community backlash when upgrading to level 2 replaced it with a different animation, prompting the devs to eventually develop a level toggling system).
