Reaver Sheriff Keychain

EP 1: Ignition, Act 3 · November 3, 2020 · 1,775 VP (individually) / 7,100 VP (full bundle). Part of the original Reaver bundle alongside the Vandal, Guardian, Operator, and Knife. Like the rest of the line, the Sheriff first appeared during the Closed Beta as part of VALORANT's first ever skin prototype, codenamed "Dark Fantasy" (later "SoulStealer" in the game files), dating back to 2018. Art Lead Sean Marino cited "dark magic, runes, and vampire hunters" as the core inspiration for the entire collection. The Sheriff was pulled at launch with the rest of the Reaver set because the line was never meant to return after serving as Riot's experimental test bed for custom models, animations, VFX, audio, and finishers. Persistent community demand forced the reworked re release in November 2020. Marino called the moment "coming back full circle." The Store team accidentally used Reaver as a placeholder thumbnail image during development, causing the skin to "haunt" the menus and fuel early rumors of its return. The EP 1 Player Card was designed to depict mages performing a dark ritual to summon Reaver back from the dead, a self aware joke by the dev team about reviving the line. As a sidearm, the Reaver Sheriff benefits from being available in pistol and eco rounds where its dark fantasy aesthetic stands out against the typically stripped down economy gameplay. VFX artist Stefan Jevremovic's signature pure black muzzle flash ("totally black, like black black, like buh lack with maybe a hint of dark purple") pairs with the Sheriff's slow, punchy fire rate to deliver one of the most satisfying one tap headshot feelings on any pistol in the game. The telekinetic reload animation and ghostly audio reverberations carry the same haunting quality as the Vandal version but feel distinct on the smaller weapon frame. Features 3 color variants (red, black, white) and 4 upgrade levels. The Reaver Sheriff was also brought back in the Run It Back: Reaver bundle in January 2026, confirming its continued popularity alongside the Vandal and Guardian nearly six years after release. Remains one of the most used Sheriff skins in the game across all ranks.
